What is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional?

The CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification is the standard of excellence in financial planning. CFP® professionals meet rigorous education, training and ethical standards, and are committed to serving their clients' best interests today to prepare them for a more secure tomorrow.

Why should I choose a CFP® professional?

When you choose a CFP® professional, you can be assured that you’re working with a financial advisor who has demonstrated competency and made a commitment to ethics. CFP® professionals must successfully complete a multi-year, multi-step process to obtain the skills and real-life experience they need to serve your best interests, no matter what your financial goals are.   • Education: CFP® professionals have the knowledge required to deliver holistic financial planning services, and they must fulfill continuing education requirements.

What is the CFP Board?

We set and enforce the requirements for CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification — to uphold standards of competency and ethics for financial planners who are committed to CFP Board to putting their clients' best interests first.

What is a Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM?

Unlike the CFP®, a CRPC® concentrates on retirement planning. The program leading to certification provides successful graduates with expertise in the entire retirement planning process, from setting financial goals to income streams to estate planning. After the designation has been granted, it is valid for two years. To renew, you must refresh your training.

Christy Barilotti, CFP®

As a Financial Adviser with Eagle Strategies LLC, Christy provides professional guidance through independent, objective financial advice while offering the personal attention for which she is known. She works with people who like to grow and succeed. Christy’s goal is to give you a sense of personal and financial well-being, regardless of how simple or complex your needs may be.

Christy is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional with a focus and expertise in retirement, goal planning, asset allocation, tax diversification and wealth preservation and is driven to succeed for her clients. In the field since 1999, she is well known for her principles and skills in the Finance industry.

Christy has received numerous awards and recognitions for her outstanding work. When Christy is not working you will most likely find her traveling with her husband, Rob, or her family or her girlfriends to both US and abroad destinations. Her favorite places are Carmel-By-The-Sea, CA, and Palm Beach, FL. Christy and Rob have enjoyed taking sailing lessons. Christy loves to be on the water or at the water!

When Christy is home, she is most likely laughing, meditating, doing yoga, working in her garden, or sipping on a green smoothie or champagne. Her date nights with Rob are either on their new deck, walking their newly adopted mini cockapoo, Louis Vuitton (aka Big Lou), or working on their Broaden Horizons Mentorship Program for Liguori Academy in Philadelphia.

Dina Hartnett, ChFC®

Vice President, Financial Adviser

Dina Hartnett has been in the financial industry since 2003 when she started as Christy Barilotti’s assistant and as a recruiter for New York Life. With Dina’s prior experience in the demanding industry of restaurant management, it is no surprise when Dina applied the same work ethic and dedication over the years at BWS how she became the Vice- President at Barilotti Wealth Strategies. Christy frequently refers to Dina as the backbone of the organization.

Dina is a graduate of Gloucester Catholic High School and Peirce College in Philadelphia, where she earned her Bachelors of Business Administration. Dina has also completed all of the rigorous courses to earn her ChFC® designation from the American College. She currently holds her Life and Health License and the FINRA Series 6, 7 and 63 licenses.

When Dina is not working, you will find her and her husband Dan, playing and spending time with their children, Aubrey and Luke and their dog Pearl!

Jessica Squadroni

Jessica Squadroni was born and raised in South Philadelphia. After spending her first 2 years of undergrad at Penn State Main Campus, she realized just how much she missed the city and transferred to Temple University where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Strategic Communications. Upon graduation, Jessica spent 6 years working in Politics for a local trade union.

Jessica joined the BWS team in April of 2019. Since then, she has received her Life and Health Insurance License and her Series 7 license and hopes to continue expanding and growing in the field.

When she is not working, you can find Jessica spending time with her family, including her dog, Bodie, attending country concerts or wandering around Wildwood and Cape May, New Jersey.

Heather Byam

Onboarding Coordinator

Heather Byam joined the BWSIS team in March of 2020 right at the start of the pandemic. Prior to working for the BWS team, Heather was a Dance Instructor and Waitress. She was also a Photographer at Walt Disney World in Florida as part of the College Program where she lived for 6 months after graduating from Millersville University with her Bachelor's Degree in 2017. She was then a Chiropractic Assistant and held her Chiropractic X-Ray Certification from the American Chiropractic Registry of Radiologic Technologists. This job with BWSIS is very different from her previous ones, but she is enjoying the change and learning so much along the way while working with some truly incredible women.

Heather got married in October 2022 and lives in Lancaster, PA with her husband, Herb, and their dog, Pierogi. She is currently trying to complete her goal of running a half marathon in every state, and she’s over halfway there! When she’s not running, you can find her collecting coffee mugs, baking, trying new restaurants, watching sports games, traveling, and spending time with her family, friends, and nieces.

Lauren Toole

Administrative Coordinator

Lauren grew up in New Jersey for most of her life. She is a graduate of Willingboro High School and attended Camden County College for a couple of years to pursue Psychology. Lauren currently holds her Real Estate license in New Jersey and is enrolled in the Women’s Entrepreneurship program at Cornell University.

Lauren joined BWSIS in 2022 and is currently studying for her Life & Health insurance license. Before joining, Lauren worked for Septa starting as a Dispatcher for the Regional Rail before promoting to Administrative Assistant II for the Subway and Market-Frankford Line’s Chief Officer while also supporting other high-level executives.

Outside of the office, Lauren’s number one joy and focus is her son, Joseph. Lauren has a big interest in hair, experimenting with different styles. Lauren also enjoys food, often trying new recipes to cook or exploring restaurants, nature walks by water, reading, meditation, and shopping at Farmer’s Markets for fresh produce. Lauren currently lives in Philadelphia with her son and pet hermit crabs-Rainbow, Bruce, and Piggy.
